Rose Lassi

The perfect POST-LUNCH DIGESTIVE drink... THAT ALSO QUELLS YOUR SWEET TOOTH!

This combination of rose and buttermilk doesn't just aid digestion, but also cools excessive heat or hunger, while opening the heart.

Ingredients- Serves 1

1/2 tsp rose water

1/2 cup organic plain yogurt (best made fresh!)

1/2 cup filtered water

Pinch of rose petals

Method:

You can make your lassi in few ways. The first way is using a blender, where you blend the rose water, organic plain yogurt and filtered water until it becomes a smooth consistency. The second option is to put all the ingredients in a glass, then mix together using a fork. Or you can put everything in a glass jar and then shake it all together. If you like a 'thinner' lassi consistency, the add less yogurt and more water. If you like it thicker, add more yogurt and less water. I like the 50/50 combination as you get the creaminess from the yogurt, but it's still smooth and easy to digest.

Once the lassi is blended, simply pour it into a glass. If you used the blender method, you'll want to remove the layer of froth from the surface of the lassi. This makes the lassi easy to digest and almost fat free.

To finish, top the lassi with some rose petals and enjoy this cooling, astringent, digestive post-lunch drink!
